Terms of Hire
All rentals are subject to terms and conditions specified in the rental agreement.
Age Limits
All drivers must be above 21 years old and hold a full valid UK/EU licence for a minimum of 2 years if aged 21 to 24, drivers aged 25 and over must have held their licence for minimum 1 year, with no major driving offences/disqualifications in the past 3 years. Allowances can be made for minor endorsements (please contact us for details or visit https://provanhire.co.uk/insurance/).
Documentation
- A valid UK/EU photo card licence (photographs of front and back)
- Licence check code obtained from the DVLA (you will require your national insurance number)
- x1 Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement, tenancy agreement), which is no more than three (3) months old and displays the current address of the relevant driver.
Insurance
Pro-Van Hire provides full insurance cover included in the cost of hire. In order to qualify for cover, the insurance requirements criteria must be met. If you do not meet these criteria the policy may be cancelled and the hire may be refused. You must ensure the information you provide is accurate to best of your knowledge, any inaccurate information may invalidate your insurance cover. You can add our vehicles to your already existing fleet or business insurance policy. The vehicle is hired to you expressly upon condition that you have arranged a policy of fully comprehensive insurance to be in force throughout the entire period of hire. You must provide a copy of the certificate of insurance to Pro-Van Hire in advance of the hire.
Payment and deposits
You shall pay all rental charges (as well as any other charges) notified at the time of reserving a van Booking immediately via the Website by either credit or debit card.
The hire charge and deposit are required in full before the commencement of the hire.
We accept payment only via Visa, MasterCard or Maestro credit or debit cards.
You will be required to pay a £150 deposit using a valid credit or debit card before the hire commences.
Delivery and Collection
It is possible to have vehicles collected before the end of hire period.
We ask to be notified immediately of any extension of rentals or late returns.
Weekday Delivery and Collection Times
Vans will be delivered or collected between 9.00am and 6.00pm, deliveres can be made outside these times at some locations, additional fees may apply.
Weekend Hire
Vans are to be delivered between 9.00am – 12.00pm Saturday.
Vans can be delivered and collected outside these times dependant on request and availability, additional fees may apply.
Mileage Policy
All vans include unlimited mileage.
Breakdown/Roadside Assistance
RAC/AA recovery (subject to conditions)
Fuel (diesel)
Hirer to put in fuel as required, vans are to be returned with same amount of fuel as at start of hire, Any extra fuel left in tank at end of hire will not be credited.
Limitations
Only the hirer and drivers approved at the time of hire are permitted to drive the vehicle.
The hired vehicle must not be taken outside the UK mainland.
Cancellations
Bookings require 48 hours cancellation notice or fees will be forfeited.
Driving Fines and Penalties
The hirer is responsible for payment of congestion and ULEZ charges, parking costs and any fixed penalties or traffic fines incurred during the period of hire.
